Humble beginnings
It started behind a counter in Manila.
Mayet De La Rosa spent her early years as a saleslady in her brother's jewelry store in Manila. She learned the trade the slow way — by weight, by karat, by the faces of people deciding whether to trust a stranger with their savings.
In 2001 she and her husband Richard opened their first pawnshop in Zapote, Las Piñas. Five years later they opened a jewelry shop of their own on Recto Avenue in Santa Cruz, buying, selling, and making pieces to order. The house has carried the family name ever since.
Twenty-five years, one standard
Inception and vision
With a few hundred thousand pesos in capital, Richard opened the first Dela Rosa Pawnshop in Zapote, Las Piñas — instant cash for clients the banks overlooked. It still stands on the same corner today.

A shop in Manila laid the foundation for the Dela Rosa Group of Companies, and with it a repair bench, a custom-made jewelry workshop, and the beginnings of a house style.

Dela Rosa Fast Fix set a standard for watch and jewelry repair: fast, professional, and returned in the condition it should have left in. The same bench finishes our own pieces.

Robinsons Las Piñas opened the door to a wider public — and to the discipline of showing the same gold under bright mall light that we sold across a pawnshop counter.
